Lou Dickman Weekly

It's a somber Lou on Episode 96...he passes along some serious news, and LDW dedicates this podcast to the recovering Gary and the waiting-for-him Scruffy. Otherwise it's business as usual except Lou has a strange passion for referring to himself in the third person. Episode 96 is also dedicated to Percy Snow, good ol' number 96 on the Chicago Football Bears in 1993. As Lou would say about Waiting for the Snow, "OUTSTANDING!"

Lou is in a nostalgic mood as he reminisces about his misty childhood memories in this edition. Only 5 more p'casts until the magic Episode 100, the pundits said it would never last. Lou gets to 1-2 on his seasonal picks, and the shining hill on the Lou is made for lovers. Episode 95 is dedicated to Hall-of-Famer Dick Dent. As Lou would say about Magic Markers, "OUTSTANDING!"

Lou is in prime form on football Sunday, as Da Bears challenge the St. Louis/Los Angeles Lambs. This is a rare episode where Lou sings, so don't miss it. Since LD started his picks-of-the-week last week, he is a stunning 0-2, having dropped the Ravens vs. Eagles and Bengals vs. Browns. Tune in this week to bet opposite to what he says. In the march to 100 LDW podcasts, today's Episode #94 is dedicated to Mike January, the first Chicago Bear to wear that number in 1987! As Lou would say about getting lei'd, "OUTSTANDING!"

The countdown to Episode 100 continues as Lou shows a sentimental side in this podcast. After Da schizophrenic Chicago Bears soared and dashed our hopes all in one week, Lou lick the wounds by driving the knife deeper. But that's our Lou. We learn also of secret relatives and what gets Lou onto the dance floor. Good old Episode 93 is dedicated to Oliver Williams, the first Bear to wear #93 in 1983. As Lou would say about a lush waltz song, "OUTSTANDING!"

THIS IS A LOST LOU DICKMAN podcast from the hiatus period. Lou is guest bartending at the Sovereign Liquors Tavern in Edgewater, and I think he's overserved himself and the Commish. The discussion of Bulls basketball will go down through the ages as the least knowledgeable sports discussion in history. THE COUNTDOWN begins to Episode 100 on LDW. TRAINING CAMP DAY PART TWO! Lou warms up for the event, Sunday (August 26th) at The Mutiny – 2428 N. Western Ave. in Chicago – by bringing up Bears back-up at the back door, good ol' number 4, Matt Blanchard. More details are given for Training Camp Day, including a hint that Lou might take the microphone for a number with The Telepaths. As Lou would say about dried chicken, "OUTSTANDING!"

TRAINING CAMP DAY, PART ONE! Lou Dickman, the Commish and all the lovable gang are BACK after a six month hiatus, in which Lou was recovering from a surfing injury (web-style). In this ep Lou and the gang talk the "Training Camp Day Extravaganza" – which will kickoff the Chicago Bears Superbowl season – scheduled for The Mutiny (2428 N. Western Ave. in Chicago) on Sunday, August 26th, noon-???. Lou and Detroit Mike have a burp-off, and Lango makes the first Bears prediction. All  that and the Long Snapper Neil O'Neill. As Lou would say about Training Day, "OUTSTANDING!"

IT'S THE LOU DICKMAN ANNUAL OSCAR PREDICTIONS SHOW! Yes, Lou sticks it to the Hollywood Elite and predicts the Oscars as the leading "Non-Authority on the Movies." Get out your ballots and fill 'em out along with LOOOOOOOOOOOOU! As Lou would say about Glenn Close playing a dude, "OUTSTANDING!"

It's "Buchie, Buchie Time" for Lou Dickman as he gets the results of his wacky Super Bowl bets. Gisele Bundchen, the football-analyzing wife of Tom Brady, inspires the "Buchie" cheer, which Lou will now put into his repertoire. As Lou would say about being bored in the off-season, "OUTSTANDING!"

It's Super Bowl and Lou's last Sunday at The Mutiny - 2428 N. Western Avenue in Chicago - until next Da Bears preseason. It's wacky bet week, and Lou is the expert on those "prop" bets, even guessing the hair color of Madonna's private region, or something to that effect. As Lou would say about th 2011-12 LDW season, "OUTSTANDING!"
