Lou Dickman Weekly

Loooooooooooou is on the air, preaching to the choir. This week he waxes poetic on the implications of the cinema classic "The Deer Hunter" and goes nonsensical on his "No Forks" review. It's just another day in the life of Louis P. Dickman. As Lou would say about Mao, "OUTSTANDING!"

It's a porcine based episode as Lou rhapsodizes on pig roasts and Wrigley Field weddings. Lou's Picks are also on the air, as the NFL prognosticator is a magical 6-7 in this young season (3 picks per week, plus the Monday Night Football game). Things fall apart in the "No Forks Review," as Lou nearly leaves the show over the Commish's judgment. As Lou would say about ding-ding-ding, "OUTSTANDING!"

Looooooooooou and the Commish are back to top form as Blue Lou emerges for the 134th edition. Lou talks Sweet 16, Lou's Picks, tender childhood stoies and the "No Forks Review" with a gusto approaching Samurai Sister Territory...listen to the review. As Lou would say about falling on the Samurai Sword, "OUTSTANDING!"

Lou is propping up the Commish, still suffering from laryngitis...and does an over enthusiastic job trying to compensate. Thanks Lou. It's Chili Day at LDW, as Da Bears take on the Minnesota Vi-Queens. As Lou would say about overt compensation, "OUTSTANDING!"

Sunday, September 8th is Lou Dickman Weekly's OPENING DAY at The Blue Frog, 676 N. LaSalle (LaSalle & Huron, River North). Da Bears vs. the Cincinnati Benghazis! He has an opening ritual, several beers on tap and a MEATOPIA, category thats BRATS-standing! The Commish has laryngitis, but gamely makes the opening day plea. As Lou would say about about Meatopia, "OUTSTANDING!" GO BEARS!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT on this Lou Dickman Weekly, you won't want to miss it! LDW lives in a new location in Chicago for the 2013 Da Bears season. TRAINING DAY takes place Sunday, August 25th, NOON-6pm at the new joint. All Bears, All Season at the NEW Lou Dickman Weekly. As Lou would say about the winds of change, "OUTSTANDING!" and who farted?

Lou has gone blue! Yes, Lou Dickman Weekly referred to "morning wood" last week in deference to First Energy Stadium, and in this episode Lou drops an F-Bomb! Kids, cover your ears. Also on this episode, a preponderance of submarine citations. As Lou would say about watching the submarine races, "OUTSTANDING!"

Lou has a big announcement....that he'll make next week. As it is, LDW talks pre-season football, training camp days and lotsa drollery. The "No Forks Review" ventures to blue plate territory...only Lou can find the best chicken gravy in the Windy City. As Lou would say about choking the chicken, "OUTSTANDING!"

Lou is on fire in this edition of LDW as he tries to come up with a new catchphrase. "TUCKER!" Yes, Da Bears Training Camp has opened and Lou is warming up his repartee for the new season. Lou and the Commish take an Optimist/Pessimist quiz regarding Da B's and come out barely without drinking the orange and blue Kool-Aid. As Lou would say about butter pecan, "TUCKER!" Or..."OUTSTANDING!"

Lou is back, even though he doesn't recognize the Commish's voice. Topics range from Lord Stanley's Cup to Lou's Jerk Chicken review. It's a midsummer night's dream on LDW, and as Lou would say about the Bard, "OUTSTANDING!"
