Lou and the Commish gets bamboozled ... the XFL is done til 2021! Rather than focus on the obvious, listen to Lou power rank four Chicago food icons ... Italian Beef, Chicago Hot Dog, Chicago Deep Dish Pizza and the Ricobene-style breaded steak sandwich. As Lou would say about belly-ing up to the buffet, "OUTSTANDING!"

It's WEEK FIVE of the XFL season, and somehow Lou and the Commish are still talking about it. They give Bench Jockey of the Week to Houston Roughneck Charles James, who advised QB Landry Jones to "Get the F**k Outta Here" last week. As Lou would say about a well-timed burn, "OUTSTANDING!"

Lou is ALL IN for his love of the XFL and his lifelong allegiance to the St. LOOOOOOUis Battlehawkes. In this episode, he talks with the Commish about QBs, attendance and ratings, with a healthy disregard for everyday society. It's all this plus Lou "weighs in" on the Popeye's Chicken Sandwich in this Very Special XFL episode. As Lou would say about about BattleHawks and SandwichChickens, "OUTSTANDING!"

Ramp it up baby! It's WEEK FOUR for the XFL and The Sovereign – the Official Self Determined Chicago Headquarters of the XFL – and Lou and the Commish have an all-XFL 'cast ('cept for a little baseball thrown in). Lou is ALL IN for the league and every weekend XFL action takes place at The Sov. As Lou would say about self determination, "OUTSTANDING!"

Lou has a mishmash of subjects thrown in a blender ... how did he do? First, the Chili Contest, won with obvious chicanery by Bear Hatin' Heather. It was the first weekend the XFL (The Sovereign: The Official Chicago Bar of the XFL) and Lou was a perfect 4-0 the first weekend. Wowsa. And finally, in all of cinema, there is no better predictor than Lou for the Oscars. Listen as he picks the Best Documentary Short without ever seeing one of them. As Lou would say about sitting in the back row of the movies, "OUTSTANDING!"

Loooooou does his annual shot at the the Super Bowl "Prop" bets, those wacky game and non-game predictions that people really care about. We find out that Lou has a thing for J-Lo in this episode, but doesn't want to be a "pervert." As Lou would say about wardrobe malfunctions, "OUTSTANDING!"

Loooooooou and The Commish dole out the trophies on Bob Collins Awards Day, honoring the participant and winners of the 2019 Lou's Sunday NFL picks. At the front of the podcast is the great RB Duane Thomas of the Dallas Cowboys, who famously said of the Super Bowl, "If this is the ultimate game, how come they play it every year!" As Lou would say about that, "OUTSTANDING!"

Of Redheads and Awards Ceremonies. The Bob Collins Awards Day is Sunday, January 26th, doors open at Noon. Ceremony approx. 2pm. Be there. The denizens of Lou's Sunday NFL Picks will get there due, including the unveiling of the latest Ultimate Swami, and his Sock Puppet Award (the greatest trophy in sports). As Lou would say about men and puppets, "OUTSTANDING!"
